How to help the Museum through the Bruce Dalton Fund at the Heritage Fund

Bruce Dalton a W.W.II Glider Pilot and a former museum volunteer (Bruce passed away in 2007) looked into the future of the Atterbury- Bakalar Museum. Bruce set up an endowed fund at the Heritage Fund - the Community Foundation of Bartholomew County, Indiana to benefit the museum forever. Bruce's gift was part of his estate plan which directed the Heritage Fund to establish a permanent endowment fund to benefit the museum. All annual distributions from this fund are allocated to the Atterbury-Bakalar Museum Air Museum.

Bruce's gift also entitled him to membership in a very special group of friends of the Heritage Fund called the Bartholomew Society.  This society was created to recognize those individuals who have notified us that they have included the Heritage Fund in their estate planning. Anyone who chooses to make a gift in this manner designated for the Atterbury-Bakalar Air Museum can contact Lisa Shafran at the Heritage Fund at (812) 376-7772 or at hfdev@sbcglobal.net.
